University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum (UHST), a public university established in 2016, is to contribute to building human resources in response to job markets and social needs, as the core part of the Rectangular Strategy Phase 4 for improving public services to best serve the interests of the people and nation-building. In that regard, UHST provides the public with education, research, and community development and social services with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). UHST offers Vocational Training-TVET, Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degree Programs, which comprise of four faculties and three institutes with 22 programs. As of now, UHST hosts a total of 66 full-time staff, 80 visiting lecturers/professors and 1,337 students. UHST has just operated a Master's Degree in Food Processing and Innovation since the beginning of 2021 which is technically supported by the EU Project.
